MAC, Lancome, FACES, Tresseme, Maybelline are all international brands and most of their products do not have gluten. MAC only has lip gloss with gluten containing ingredients.

These brands all list their ingredients clearly and you can make an informed choice. Revlon is a brand I would stay clear off because it does not suit me and if I remember correctly its products do have some gluten containing ingredients. I want to make it clear that if you do not notice a local reaction and you are sure about your lipsticks and lip balms please go ahead and use products you like.

My post is an effort to bring to light products which are safe for people who have sensitive skin and get a local reaction to gluten.

If you are still looking to eliminate gluten from your skin care routine entirely, there are some brands and products that are highly recommended by Green and Baumann.

I used to buy Cerave, but now use a Walmart knock-off made in Canada to save money. It is a body lotion, but really skin is skin. Maybe a little thinner on the face, but still skin.

Cerave used to have a gluten free facial sunscreen, but not anymore at least when I last checked. You really have to read labels as ingredients can change. Yeah, it's annoying how some times good products change! I've used Palmer's body wash and lotion for the past five years but have just wanted a change.

Also, used Jack Black for two years but it's not really improved my skin, so I'm looking for improvement there. These "natural" soaps I've tried have either smelled horribly or were drying.

Native soap has been a really good body wash though, just pricy, so I'm still debating them. I can use their soaps and shampoo. Andalou naturals gave me a gluten reaction. It may take a while to find what works for you. Overtime in my experience one can reintroduce otc products or products with more ingredients as the immune system settles down.

Often times by then you master the craft and stick with it. Or return to an old fav or a new better fit product. Did you ever find a way for Dr Bronner's to not destroy your face? like a dilution ratio.

It's annoying because everyone always tells me "no matter how much you dilute the pH is too high", and the only time I see someone say it's not is when it's the company itself but they're trying to sell me something but I'd love a jack of all trades with natural ingredients.

I use Adasept face cleanser. Lightweight and gluten free. It was recommended by my dermatologist I see this doctor due to DH issues. Andalou is all I use, I highly recommend. I'm 63 and people think I'm I was picking up a prescription and the pharmacist asked if it was for my mother.

I said no, it's for me. She about passed out. Gluten free. I order from their web site. Sign up for their newsletter to get discounts. It seems a little expensive, but you use a lot less than cheaper products, it lasts awhile.

I don't love their shower gel, so sometimes I use Philosophy brand for that, which is not labeled gluten-free, but company claims no gluten ingredients and I've never had a problem and I'm very sensitive.

Also Savonnarie brand has gluten-free body lotion and cleansers. I have used all their stuff. They have all the info on the benefits to each on their web site. I use dove free and clear bar soap and glaxalbase products are gluten free and uncented, paraben free, hypoallergenic, lanolin free etc..

I have DH and am very sensitive. I use Andalou shampoos and conditioners as well as their facial products with no issues. I like the ones for sensitive skin and have used their anti-aging line. I really enjoy the Cocoa Mask. Smells so good and leaves my skin nice and soft.

I also use Cerave. I like the tub for the body and use their Facial Moisturizing Lotion with a broad spectrum sunscreen. It is the only sunscreen that doesn't make break out. I am a few years late to this post, but Vanicream is really excellent and labels their products gluten-free I've used their face wash and moisturizer as well as their sunscreen!

I use Derma-E facewash, which is gluten free, and mineral fusion moisturizer which is also cert gluten free. I can really reccomend the mineral fusion products. Desert essence do gluten free certified shampoo, soaps and even toothpaste, which I love.
